Colour will abound on campus all throughout November this year as Curtin participates in Pride Month.

Curtin鈥檚 participation in Pride Month was kicked off by the official launch of the rainbow art installation at Upper Henderson Court by Curtin鈥檚 Ally Champion and Vice-President Corporate Relations and Development, Val Raubenheimer, cutting the ribbon. Curtin has already participated in the main Pridefest launch event, the Pride Parade, held on 2 November.
鈥淐urtin was a gold sponsor for Pridefest this year and had a significant presence at the parade with a number of students and staff participating in the parade,鈥� Ms Raubenheimer said.
Curtin is the highest ranking university in Australia for LGBTI equality. It is also one of the top 10 employers Australia-wide in 2013 according to the Australia Workplace Equality Index, and has been commended for the ALLY program.
鈥淐urtin’s Ally program aims to foster a culture that is inclusive of sexual and gender diversity,鈥� Ms Raubenheimer explained.
鈥淎n Ally is someone who supports the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex people.鈥�
All throughout the month, students and staff will be dazzled after dark with a rainbow light display. The and be displayed across campus.
