Wireless network connections are available across&nbsp;our Perth, Perth City, and Kalgoorlie campuses.&nbsp;Our wireless network uses industry standard authentication and encryption technology to provide a secure environment for&nbsp;you to connect&nbsp;your&nbsp;wi-fi enabled devices.<\/p>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n        role=\"complementary\"\n        aria-label=\"Accordion content\"\n        data-segment=\"all\">\n\n                \n\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Technical-requirements\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Technical-requirements\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Technical-requirements\">Technical requirements<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Technical-requirements\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>The Curtin wireless network is configured to use WPA2 for authentication and encryption, with Protected-PEAP (PEAP) with MSCHAPv2. Support for this security encryption is supported built-in for all major operating systems. For those operating systems that do not support PEAP-MSCHAPv2, there may be third-party client software available for purchase that meets the requirements &#8211; contact your local trusted IT specialist for more information.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Wi-fi-account-locked?\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Wi-fi-account-locked?\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Wi-fi-account-locked?\">Wi-fi account locked?<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Wi-fi-account-locked?\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>We recommend\u00a0that you do not change your password using your wireless connection. This is because when you change your password via OASIS and the new password is updated to Curtin&#8217;s network, your wireless client will continue to use your old credentials to connect to the network, resulting in your wireless account being locked after a number of failed attempts.<\/p>\n<p>Whenever you activate or change your password, you must always update your personal wireless devices.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Troubleshooting-connection-issues\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Troubleshooting-connection-issues\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Troubleshooting-connection-issues\">Troubleshooting connection issues<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Troubleshooting-connection-issues\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>If you&#8217;re having trouble connecting to the wi-fi on campus, please try <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/2092\/kw\/password%20reset\">resetting your OASIS password<\/a>. After you&#8217;ve reset your password, allow 15 minutes for your password to update across Curtin&#8217;s systems.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that you must be enrolled for at least 24 hours before your access to student wi-fi is enabled.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n        \n<\/mimas-block>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up wi-fi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are three wireless networks operating at Curtin: one for current students, one for visiting students, and one for staff. You must select the right network for your wi-fi to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re a:<\/p>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n Certificate Status<\/li>\n<li><strong>Domain:<\/strong> curtin.edu.au<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are experiencing <span class=\"ng-scope\"> any issues connecting to the Wifi you may need to adjust your phones MAC setting. <\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span class=\"ng-scope\">Open the wifi settings and click the cog icon next to the network you wish to join<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Select &#8216;advanced&#8217; to open a drop down menu<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8216;privacy&#8217; and choose &#8216;Use device MAC&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n        \n                            \n
